Zuiryuji
(Takaoka City, Toyama Pref)

Zuiryuji is a temple of the Sotoshu Sect dedicated to Toshiie Maeda, the second lord of the Kaga domain, who founded of Takaoka and built the Takaoka Castle. We can see the impressive Garan built in the Zenshu construction style. The Sanmon, Butsuden, and Hodo have been designated as national treasures. In addition, approach connects the temple and tomb is named Hatcho road.

Takaoka Daibutsu (large statue of the Buddha)

Takaoka Daibutsu is one of the three major statues of Buddha in Japan and a symbol of Takaoka City. After lost in the fire in 1900, this gigantic statue of Buddha took about 30 years to rebuild using their knowledge of copper manufacturing.

"The Suganos" godown-structured house
(Takaoka City, Toyama Pref)

This is the leading godown house in this area, built a property from the late Edo period to Meiji period, founded the Takaoka bank and Takaoka Electric Light.A black plasterwork pillar supports the eaves, the soil door of the window of the second floor, exterior is heavy impression. On the other hand, decorative details gives a gorgeous impression. The wonderful Buddhist altar is unmissable.

Oiwasan Nissekiji Temple
(Kamiichi Town, Toyama Pref)

The head temple for the Shingon sect, it is said to have been founded in the year 725 by the Buddhist saint Gyoki. Here you can see the figure of Magai, God of Fire, carved in the great wall of Oiwa. It has been designated a National Cultural Property.
You can experience the takigyo that hit you at Six waterfalls which is famous for cold ascetic practices.
